For the fourth consecutive year, we have been awarded the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence for our Café du Vin wine list.

Since 1981, the Wine Spectator’s wine list awards program has been the leading authority in recognizing the world’s finest restaurant wine lists. The Best of Award of Excellence is considered the equivalent of the “two Michelin stars” in the realm of restaurant wine lists. By attaining these accolades, we have solidified our position as a premier destination for wine lovers, offering an exceptional wine experience.

The Café du Vin boasts an impressive wine list of over 800 selections. Within this extensive collection, you will find 60+ wines from the renowned Franschhoek Wine Valley available by the glass, carafe, or bottle.

To ensure the utmost quality, the innovative Coravin wine preservation system allows us to offer premium wines by the glass without compromising on quality, preventing oxidation while preserving aroma, color and flavor. The Vintage section of the wine list offers a broad vintage selection of top South African producers – including some sought-after vintage wines, together with a selection of big bottles and wines from top international producers.

At the helm of our esteemed wine program is our highly regarded Wine Director and renowned Sommelier, Ricardo Roux. With his expertise and passion for wine, Ricardo ensures our guests an unparalleled experience. Ricardo also oversees our exclusive Winemaker for a day® Wine Experience, which has been awarded with the prestigious title of BEST WINE TOURIST EXPERIENCE 2023 & 2024 by the African Excellence Awards.
